Congress and Corporations

Congress has long been in bed with the corporations, as witnessed by the Supreme Court's decision that corporations are individuals and as such can contribute a near unlimited amount to a candidate. The next question is why are our elected representatives so wealthy? The rest of us are struggling along, many working paycheck to paycheck while our elected representatives are lining their pockets with campaign donations, freebies, discounts, and other perks.

Are "We the People" so gullible? Are we sheep to be led to the slaughter? Wake UP!!!! Kick the bums out and get corporations out of government. Make government Of The People, By The People, and FOR The People once again!

OK, I Found Something -

Election reform.

California is trying to break up the block of electoral votes and go more toward populist vote. I think that is a GREAT idea! The electoral college is antiquated and too often the voice of the people is not heard because of it.

I think the electronic voting machines need to go, too. It's too hard to know if the machine is working right or has been tampered with. I prefer the old, paper ballot. OK, it's not a perfect system. No system is. However, if you want to write-in a candidate, it's a lot easier with a pencil than that stupid dial!
